Dear friends, I am really exited to inform that the web page of Magazine "In Search of Peace" is in its final stage and in next week or so it will be in the world wide web. Thank you for your valuable prayers and encouragement. I am publishing the life story of Sadhu Sunder Singh, continuation of last issue. You can experience the life transforming power of Christ. Yes, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Turning point of robber

Some times Sadhu Sunder Singh had to go through wilderness where he met the people who did not have compassion or mercy. Once Sadhu Sunder Singh was going through a place called Bhulera he met four people who were carrying swords in their hands. When Sadhu Sunder Singh did not saw any chance of escape he bowed his head before them so that they can do whatever they want. When they saw Sadhuji in this state they hesitated to kill him. They said to Sadhu Sunder Singh, "Take out every thing you have." Sadhuji did not have anything except blanket, he put before them and started walking in his way, praising God for being saved from the hands of robbers. He did not go far and robbers called him and said don't go ahead. He thought this time end has come, he trusted God and came back. When he returned they asked who are you. Sadhuji said I am a Christian and started reading from the Bible Luke16:19-26 There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'" After reading from the Bible Sadhuji asked them, "what do you think about this story?" Then they said, "The end of the rich man was terrible, when he did only a little sin and got so much punishment then what will happen to us as we have done so many big sins like robbery, killing etc." And Sadhuji started explaining the love and grace of Jesus Christ that Jesus died on the cruel cross to save sinners. Bible says in 1 John 1:7 "and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." When one of them heard all this things he started crying and telling the tale of his sinful acts and he took Sadhuji to his cave and showed a heap of skeleton and said, "this is the account of my sins, can such a person get saved?" When Sadhuji heard all this things his heart broke and he told the story of the robber which was crucified with Jesus and was saved from his sins by repenting before Jesus. So the robber also cried and repented from his sins and turned from his old ways and started a new life.
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 14th July. 2009
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Jul. 2009
