"I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul." These were the last written statement of Thimothy McVeigh who was the Oklahoma City bomber who killed 168 people in the nation's worst act of domestic terrorism, who was put to death by lethal injection on 11th June 2001. He did not give any final statement but gave prison officials a handwritten copy of a nineteenth century poem which ends with these two lines, "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul."He did not show any remorse for his heinous crime. But was he without fear or worries about his death? He was not fear free. He looked pale as he awaited death. And one eye witness said, "He was paler, he was thinner, and he did not have the same look of arrogance that he had in the courtroom in Denver." No matter how much he claimed that, he is the captain of his soul but he could not have any command over his death. Yes, we humans have limited power and we can not have command over our soul. Many think that they are everything and there is no one greater than them but no, they forget that there is a God who is most powerful in whole world. They forget that there is a God who can give us life. One day everyone has to die. Sooner or later death will come and knock at your door. But the question is, is death the end of our lives? Bible tells us that there is a life beyond death. Jesus said a parable in Luke 19:16-30, about a rich man and a beggar. Both died but the difference was that the angels carried beggar to Abraham's bosom but rich man went to a place which was horrible and which was a place of torment. A place of fire as the rich man cries out and says in Luke 16:24, "'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame."Bible precisely tells us that after death souls go to either of two different places. One is nice and good but the other is a place of fire and torment where there is no water. The Bible also tells us that wicked will turn to hell as we read in Psalms 9:17, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God." But at the same time the Bible says about the righteous who will dwell with Him in His presence as we read in Psalms 140:13, "Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence." And Jesus said in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."If you have invited Jesus in your life then you have passed from death to life and you are not going to face judgment but eternal life is waiting for you. Yes, we can get the peace, joy and happiness of eternal life in this world itself. Jesus came in this world and died for us so that we may have this wonderful life that we may never die or never go into flames but live in peace with Him forever. If you are not sure about your life as to were you are going, if you do not have any peace, joy and happiness in your life then look to Jesus. Invite Him today in your life and you will never be the same again. He will remove every bit of fear from your heart and fill your heart with His divine peace. Please pray this prayer with me:Loving Jesus, I am a sinner. Please forgive my sins and wash me with your precious blood. Please come into my life and give me your peace, joy and happiness and when I close my eyes from this world please give me eternal life. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I thank you because I know that you are going to bless my life. I pray this prayer in Jesus name. Amen.
Today world is desperately seeking for joy and happiness. People are after joy and happiness. When you look at their faces you get a fairly good idea of what is going on inside of their being. Most of the time you find them expressionless and without any joy on their faces though they may have money, car, big mansion and everything they can think of. When you talk to some you find them always in different moods. Some times they talk as if they are very friendly with you, but the very next moment they behave as if they do not know you or never met you earliar. Why? The reason is there is no real joy in their life. The things seen from outside is different from what is inside. Many a times we forget that the things of this world does not give us real joy and happiness and meaning to life. Many times we forget that only Lord Jesus can give us that perfect joy. Instead of seeking it from Jesus, we try to find joy in worldly things and it starts failing us. Once a girl from my college told me "I want nothing but lot of money. I am looking for a person for marriage, who owns lot of money, car and bungalow. It doesn't matter for me whether that person is crippled or blind or whatever". This thought badly surprised me. I never could imagine such things what she told me. Money alone could never satisfy anybody. If you follow money or long for money one day it will fail you. If you long for name and fame, one day it will fail you. If you follow people and their opinion one day it will make you stumble and fall. But if you follow Lord Jesus Christ He will never fail you. Your foot will never falter nor will you fall. He gives every thing, joy, happiness, peace, riches as well as eternal life. Prov 10:22, "The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it". Yes my friend this is the key. Many do not know it. People try all kinds of crooked ways to get money and still do not get it or after getting money they do not have full satisfaction. People long for money and more money and get into trouble. They start doing all kinds of evil things, which does not and cannot please God. The above verse says that God makes one rich and adds no sorrow with it. Real blessing comes by following Lord Jesus Christ. But many do not know it. Many think that it is a low level path to serve God or to walk in the ways of God. Once a person asked my mom, "what made you to send your children for God's work. Any wise person will never do it". It is a very sad and awful remark. You are not doing any good by ignoring God. You are not doing any good by rejecting your creator. It is the most blessed thing in this world to serve the Lord. It is the most honorable thing to serve Him who has given you life on this earth. It is the greatest privilege and honor for anybody when Almighty God calls him to work in His vineyard. Do you not want that God should call you for His work? His work not only brings blessing into one's life but brings great joy and happiness which the world never knows.. God created us in His own image and likeness. He created us with a special purpose. He did not put you in this world to live in all kinds of pleasures and to die in sin. He did not put you in this world to enjoy the filthiest things of this world and to end up in hell fire. No, certainly not!!! He created you and me with a purpose. He wants that we should live a holy and clean life. He wants that we should walk in His ways and finally find eternal peace in heaven. He created us with a divine purpose and He wants us to understand the deep meaning why He created us. You are not in this world because of an accident or you are not here in this planet because some cells or molecules reacted together and you become a human being. No 1.Salvation brings joy:God made us with the sole purpose to glorify Him. This can only be fulfilled by knowing Him. Salvation is that key which brings one to the fullness of God's purpose. When Jesus comes in, joy comes in, because He is the fountain of joy. Jesus is the real source of joy. He died for you on Calvary's cross to give you that joy. Have you ever experienced this joy? Do you have the assurance that one day you will reach heaven? Can you say sincerely that you are born in God's family? If not you can have this experience by accepting Lord Jesus Christ into your heart. 2. Anointing of the Holy Spirit brings joy:When a person accepts Lord Jesus Christ as his/her savior joy comes in. But when a person receives the anointing of the Holy Spirit that joy increases in a greater way. It is a unique experience. Not only that, this joy stays forever inside that person. As long as you walk in God's ways, this joy will stay with you. As long as you get closer and closer with God, this joy will increase day by day. Getting filled with the Holy Spirit is the second step you have to take for this joy. As I wrote previously too, without salvation no one can receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit. After salvation, the experience of anointing of the Holy Spirit comes. Salvation brings some signs in the life of a person and in the same way, when a person gets the anointing of Holy Spirit some particular signs will follow. You can read detailed article about signs of salvation and Holy Spirit in the previous issues. Lord wants to give you this joy. The joy, which Lord gives you does not fade away as time passes on. But it stays till the end. It increases as we walk closer and closer to God. You can receive this joy by receiving Lord Jesus Christ into your heart. Please pray this prayer:Lord Jesus you are the fountain of joy. You are the prince of peace. Please give me the joy, which does not fade away. Come into my heart. Wash me with your precious blood and cleanse me off of all my sins. Forgive all my sins and give me eternal life. I pray in Jesus name Amen.
The Ranks, Battle Array Sura 61:6 And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!" On the one side, Allah and Muslims claim that Allah is the same God of the Bible and that Jesus was sent by Allah but on the other side Allah does not know what Jesus promised to send in this world after His return to Father. If Allah sent Jesus to this world then how come Allah was not aware of what Jesus promised to send after His ascension to heaven? Come let us look from the Bible, what Jesus promised for His followers:Jesus said in John 14:16-18, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."Again Jesus said in John 14:26-27, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."Again Jesus said in John 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me."We can see from the above verses that Jesus promised Holy Spirit or Spirit of truth for those who believe on His name. John 14:16 says that, "He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever;" and 18th verse says, "He dwells with you and will be in you". So we can understand that Jesus did not promise to send a messenger but Holy Spirit who was to come and dwell in us. A man or woman can not come and dwell in us but Quran says that Jesus promised to send Ahmad (this is name of Mohammed the founder of Islam). The above verse also says, "He may abide with you forever". We all know that Mohammed died and is no more in this world so how is it possible that he may abide with us forever? It is not possible for a human being to abide with us forever but it is only possible with God. God can come down and live with us. He can abide with us and be in us. So obviously Jesus did not promise a fallible human being but infallible Spirit of God who is everlasting to everlasting.We find in John 14:18, that Jesus said here, "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." When Holy Spirit comes in our lives, He gives comfort and peace in our hearts. In the time of trouble and in the time of tears He comforts us that is the reason why Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Only God can give us peace and comfort which this world can not give, which others can not give so of course we do not see as if it was spoken for any person but this was spoken for Spirit of God.Jesus also said in John 14:26, "He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." Jesus said more things about Holy Spirit that, "when He will come, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." But we know that Mohammed or Ahmad did not say what Jesus said. Jesus proclaimed again and again that He came to give His life for His sheep, to die and to rise again etc. But Mohammed came and said that Jesus did not die on the cross. He also said that it appeared as if Jesus was crucified but actually He did not die on the cross. Also we can see a totally contradictory message in Quran that Jesus never proclaimed. If Ahmad or Mohammed was the messenger which Jesus promised for us then he should have brought to our remembrance what Jesus said. Jesus did not promise to send a messenger with a new message, did He? No!! So of course Ahamd is not the promised Holy Spirit.Jesus also said in John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."This verse tells us that when Holy Spirit will come He will guide us in all truth... and will tell us things to come. Only God is Truth and only God can lead us in truth. A man or woman who never knew truth or a person who is not absolute truth can not lead us in truth. For example if you know the direction to go to a certain place, then only you can show the way to others but if you do not know the direction you can not show the way. The same thing is with Mohammed, who was a human being and was who searching for truth and the way till his last breath. It is impossible for a man who never knew truth to show us the way of truth. But Jesus promised for a helper who will guide us in all truth i.e. none other than Holy Spirit or Spirit of Truth or Spirit of God Himself. This verse also says that, "He will tell you things to come." Yes, Holy Spirit will not only lead you guide you but He will tell you the things which is ahead of you. He will predict your future. Isn't it wonderful that Holy Spirit will come and dwell in us and with us so that we may know what is ahead of us? Yes, no man can predict your future but God can and when Holy Spirit comes and abides in us, He shows us what is ahead of us. John 16:14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you."Jesus said in the above verse that Holy Spirit will glorify Him. But Mohammed never gave glory to Jesus nor glorified Him in anyway but he (Mohammed) discredited the work of Lord Jesus Christ which was done on the cruel cross for me and for your salvation. He abrogated the message of the precious blood which was shed on the cruel cross so that we may come out of our sins and live in peace with Him eternally. Oh, and Mohammed ignored this most precious and important work of Christ. How it is possible that if Jesus sent Mohammed he could forget the most important thing? Again it proves nothing but Mohammed is not the promised Holy Spirit and Allah is not the God of the Bible because all these verses show lack of knowledge with Allah in this matter. Let us quickly look that after all who is this Holy Spirit?He is the Spirit of Truth: Jesus said in John 14:16-18, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."Jesus refers to Holy Spirit as Spirit of Truth and the Bible says that God is truth as we read in Exodus 34:6, "And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,"The Bible also says in Jeremiah 10:10, "But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation."Jesus also said that He is the truth. In John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."So God is truth and His Spirit is the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God Himself and it can not be human. Mohammed blasphemed God By declaring Ahmad or Mohammed as Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is the creator: Bible tells us that Holy Spirit which is spoken as His breath has creative power and He created us as we read in Psalms 33:6, "By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth."Job 33:4, "The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life."We humans do not have power to create this world, but God has and the Bible tells us that God, His Word(Jesus) and the Holy Spirit has made this world and hosts of this were made by them. So it tells us that Holy Spirit is God Himself. Holy Spirit has life in Him: We read in Job 33:4, "The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life." And Genesis 2:7 says, "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."These verses tell us that Holy Spirit is the source of life which is the quality of God. No human being can give us life but only God. When God said that, "God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being" it does not say that God breathed Mohammed in our nostrils but He breathed His Spirit (Holy Spirit) in our nostrils and made us a living being. Holy Spirit is God Himself: God said that blaspheming the name of God is a big crime as we read in Leviticus 24:16, 'And whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall be put to death."When we come to New Testament we see Jesus saying about speaking anything against Holy Spirit is to blaspheme as we read in Mark 3:29 "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"So obviously Holy Spirit is not a man but He is God Himself and it is too surprising that Allah did not know what Jesus promised to send to His people. This again shows that Allah was has no idea who Holy Spirit is and he is not the same God of the Bible

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
