Deuteronomy 18:10 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer. And Deuteronomy 18:12-14 "For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you." Yes, all these things are abominations before God, but how tragic that many Christians go to soothsayers or psychic instead of looking to the almighty God. Once a family invited us for dinner, when we were coming back they gave us a small basket (actually it was looking like a small lantern) filled with candy. It was very beautiful, we all liked it. Days and months passed by, we forgot that this type of thing is in our house. One day we were praying and God said, "You have a small lantern in your home, until you throw it away, you are not going to get my blessings." We were puzzled and thought which lantern? As we were talking God reminded us about that thing which we brought long back. As soon as we threw it away, sicknesses disappeared from our house and we enjoyed the blessings of God. Jesus wants to bless you but you must remove all the unclean things, or those things which are hindrance between you and God. In the Bible we read In Joshua 7th chapter that a man named Achan took the accursed things which God said to destroy. And because of that they could not stand before the enemy. They were defeated and their 36 men were killed. And Joshua asked God why this happened? And God said to Him in Joshua 7:11-12, "Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My(God's) covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff. Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you." Many times we take these things very lightly. Many a times people say if I drink in a party what is wrong in it? Many times people say, "What is wrong if I change wife after wife or husband after husband, what is wrong if I hug or kiss my girl friend or boy friend?" Well, It is abomination before God. You can not be successful until you get rid of these things. The Bible says in Proverbs 2:17-18, "Who forsakes the companion of her youth, And forgets the covenant of her God. For her house leads down to death, And her paths to the dead." You know what... you are in a path that goes strait to hell... But there is hope, because Jesus took all our infirmities, all our transgressions on the cruel cross and you need not to go to hell anymore. Just ask Him to cleanse you from all your sins and He will do it for you gladly and He will give you a blessed life. If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. John 10:9, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." John 10:7 Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:8 "All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them." Lord Jesus said very clearly that He is the door. He is the door to heaven. Bible says that no other name is given for us for salvation. Acts 4:12, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Lord Jesus came to save which was lost. And we must know that only salvation comes through the blood of Jesus Christ. Nothing else can save a person. We see from ancient times many tried in many ways to obtain salvation. Many burned their body, many tortured their body and did penance to reach heaven. Many sat on mountains for years together to please God or get the vision of God. But here is good news that we need not to do all these things because Lord Jesus has paid the price on Calvary's Cross nearly 2000 years ago. He did every thing to save mankind, He shed His precious blood to save you and me. Bible says that all the sins of mankind was laid upon Him. 1 Peter 2:24, "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed." Lord Jesus paid the price for our sins and transgressions, but the question is who will receive these things. It looks very strange isn't it but Bible clearly says that all are not saved. Today people look confused. If you talk to different people you will get different types of answers. Once I asked one lady "are you saved." She said "look I am going through too much of problems, but because of God only I am surviving." This is not the answer my friend. Question is "Do you know Him(Jesus) personally? Do you have a personal relationship with the Lord? Do you have full assurance of reaching heaven?" Once one lady said " God is love, will He send His own creation to hell certainly not" It looks that she never read the Bible properly or she does not know what the Bible says about hell and heaven. Yes, God does not send anybody to hell but a person's sins makes him/her to go to hell if they do not repent. If no one is going to hell then why is there a description about "Hell" in the Bible. Is it by mistake? If nobody is going to Hell, then why Jesus came to die on the Cross? Why Jesus came to die on the Cross?1. To save which was lost: Luke 19:10 "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Lord came to save sinners. Who are the sinners? Who are the lost? All those who are born in this world are sinners in the sight of the Lord. Today people even in Christian community look confused as I mentioned above. First of all we must know that all are sinners. Bible says that nobody is righteous in the sight of God. NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS. All are lost and all need salvation. Jesus did not come to save a group of people or community or some particular people, but for every body He came and died on the Cross. Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, " Romans3:10-12, "As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one;" 11- "There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God." 12- "They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one." Bible says even our good deeds are like filthy rags in the sight of God. Isaiah 64:6, "But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away." Have you ever thought of it? Every body is in sin and everybody is lost and that's why everybody needs salvation. Good news is Jesus came to save us from our sins and all our unrighteousness. Have you ever given your heart to Jesus? Have you ever repented from your sins? Have you ever said, "Lord I want to reach heaven please forgive my sins?" Have you ever said, "Lord please come into my heart and live in me?". If not please invite Him today and your life will never be the same again, you will receive the joy that this world cannot give. Please Pray: Lord Jesus please come into my heart. I am a sinner I lived as I desired, but today I come to you. I believe that you died for me I believe that you have shed your precious blood for my sake. I believe that your blood can cleanse me from all my sins. Today I accept you as my personal Savior. From now on you are my Lord, you are my master of my life, you are my God. Today onwards I will follow you in every thing. I pray in Jesus sweet name Amen.May God bless you.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
