Bible tells us that a day is coming when God will judge people of all nations, of all ages whether they are dead or alive. Books will be opened before Him and each and every person, whether small or great, black or white, brown or yellow, dead or alive, each and every person has to give an account of their lives Every person will have to be ready for that moment because on that day, nobody will be there to help, but every one has to take their own responsibility of their individual deeds and the decisions they had made in their lives.Last week we heard the news regarding the secret life of General David Petraeus which cost him his job. No one ever expected this, no one ever thought it was coming but how shameful it was that his life was opened before the public. A few years ago similar cases came to light where priests were involved in such reckless acts. When we think about priests, we consider them to be closer to God. But it came as a shock to the general public that they were living a double life.In Revelation 20:12-15 we read of the visions and revelations received by John the apostle, "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."Those who never cared to take time and get their names registered in the book of life would never be able to go to heaven. Have you been to Jesus to register your name in the book of life? You may wonder how our names could be written in the book of life. Bible tells us in John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." And Jesus Himself said in John 5:24-25, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live."Yes, books will be opened and God will look for your name in the book of life. All those who never went to Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins will not be able to enter into heaven. Probably you are in a Christian family, would have heard about Jesus and living a good life, but it is not enough. You need to get forgiveness of your sins when you are still alive. Not only that but you have to live a holy and pure life before God if you really want to go to heaven. Sometimes everything would look good from the outside and people may think that you are an honorable person, but you only know what type of life you are living. When books would be opened will you find yourself to be clean before God? How will you stand before God who is so holy that He cannot behold sin?In the book of Daniel we read about what is going to happen to different people of different levels at the end. Daniel 12:1-3, "At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever."I urge you to please come to Jesus before it is too late. Receive His forgiveness in your life, cleanse your acts and live a holy and pure life. So that you should not be ashamed on that day when God judges people but you should live forever and forever with God.
Throughout the Bible we read about the goodness and kindness of God. When the Israelites needed food, He provided them food from heaven supernaturally, when people needed healing, He healed them even when Jesus was in this world He healed the sick and delivered the suffering people. Many mighty and awesome miracles took place in the ministry of Jesus. And those miracles did not die down today. The same God does miracles without number even now. The same God calls things out of nothing.Once when Jesus was walking along with His disciples and a big crowd was following Him. A lady came and touched the helm of His garment and she immediately got healed. Mark 5:30, "And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?" Bible also tells us that Paul's handkerchiefs and Peter's shadow healed peopleAct 19:11-12, "Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them."Act 5:15, "so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them."Once my brother was sick and he was having high fever and it was the time when my dad got retired from his job. We were not in the position to go to a doctor. Then my mom prayed with much tears and in those moments she remembered the words of a pastor who used to visit us frequently. The pastor told how he did not believe in preachers who preached Gospel and performed miracles. But his wife read of amazing miracles happening in the lives of people and when she shared those things with the pastor he mocked her. One day his wife got sick and he again made fun of his wife and said, "You told me that people were getting healed just by touching those magazines of Bro. Dhinakaran. Now why don't you touch the magazine and pray to Jesus to heal you?" Surprise of surprise, when she did, her fever left her and she was immediately healed. It made that pastor to believe in the mighty power of God. So my mom also took a Jesus Calls magazine and putting over my brother prayed saying, "Lord Jesus, I heard that many who are even touching this book are getting healed, please heal him as well". And to our surprise my brother got healed at that very moment.I had always problem traveling especially along Indian roads. Once we were going to our cousin's house. It was hilly area with wavy roads. I started to feel very sick and I had vomiting sensation. The bus was about to reach the stop and a big crowd of people was running to enter into the bus. When I looked from my window, I realized that if I may be throwing, it will be over the people and inside also it was jam packed. I felt very nervous and I started to pray to Jesus for help. I said, Lord please help me that I may not be throwing over people. Though I prayed still I did not feel like I am getting any better but the best part was that I did not vomit. Those five or ten minutes passed as if ages and finally the bus stopped and we came out of the bus without any incident. It was not possible without a miracle.Then another time we were going to some places. After traveling an hour I was feeling sick and I wanted not to travel again. We stopped in a house and the lady of the house asked what you will drink tea or coffee. I thought for a moment and said, "coffee" thinking that if I drink coffee I may feel better but to my worst nightmare it made my condition worsen. Again I had vomiting sensation and I felt very sorry to be there. While traveling again I felt very sick. But by praying in my heart for help from Jesus only helped me to survive without vomiting.Even today His miracle working power is here to heal you, remove your troubles and give you peace which you have never experienced in your life. More than that Jesus wants to forgive and forget all your sins no matter what you have done and He wants to give you a new life. Will you come to Jesus today? Will you repent from your sins today? Will you invite Jesus in your heart today?

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
