We have just finished year 2007. I am sure that every one of us had to go through ups and downs. But if we look back and start counting the blessings of God that He had poured in our lives we could rejoice and be thankful for what He did in our lives. Everyday we enjoy untold blessings of God, let us turn towards Him and praise Him for even the smallest goodness He did for us.It is true that sometimes life gives us bitter experiences, tragedies, troubles and heartbreaks. But this is not the end of the world. If Jesus is with you, you can start over again. A new day will surely come in your life.Look at the life of Naomi. She lost her husband and two sons in a strange land. But she did not sit there thinking that it was all over. She came back to Israel with her daughter-in-law Ruth. God helped Ruth to get married to a wealthy relative of Naomi. And their lives became happy and blessed again. Look at the life of Jacob. He saw only tragedies in his life. When he was young, he had to flee from his home. He came to his uncle’s home. But his uncle Laban cheated him several times. Finally he returned to his home Canaan. But one after another tragedies struck in his life. His beloved wife Rachel died. Then his beloved son Joseph was sold as slave by his own brothers. Jacob wept and wept and there was no consolation for him in this world. But a day came when God helped him to stand before Pharaoh and also meet his beloved son Joseph. Finally he was in peace.Look at the life of David. He was a young man who loved the Lord with all his heart. But one after another trouble followed him. He feared that death was only one step away from him. King Saul became his enemy and he had to flee from home. He wandered in the wilderness for many years. But it was not the end of his life. Because he acknowledged God and sought God with all his heart, God came for his rescue. Not only did God fulfill His promise to David but also exalted him and blessed him. A day came when David became king in Israel and God subdued all his enemies under him.Moses says in Psa 90:9-10, “For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”But he prays in Psa 90:13-15 and says, “Return, O LORD! How long? And have compassion on Your servants. Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days! Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, The years in which we have seen evil.”The same God who walked with Moses all the days of his life and was with him, the same God who did mighty wonders in the wilderness and protected Moses and the Israelites is able to walk before us and fill our days and years with His goodness and gladness.God is able to remove all the afflictions of our lives and give us days of peace and joy. For this very purpose He came in this world to take away our pain and sorrow, our sins and infirmities. He is ready to give us a life full of peace and joy if only we come before Him and ask Him to come into our lives. Give all your hurting and pain to Him and let this year be a year of new beginning for you.
Num 12:6 -8, "Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream." Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?"God still speaks with His people through dreams, visions, small still voice, audible voice, and various ways. Today we are going to see only few things.1. God speaks through Dreams:Many think that the days of dreams and visions are over but that is not true. God still speaks to convey His message. When you are going to face a great danger and if threat is real, at that time also God speaks to bring protection in your life. Today I would like to share some of my own experiences. One night I saw a very strange dream. In my dream I saw that a person gave me a quart size small ash colored bucket. Then as he was walking away in my dream I felt somebody saying, "the bucket has virus." Then again I saw that when the same person when he saw that nothing had happened with those viruses he returned back with a big smile and gave me another similar bucket. In the morning I shared this unusual and strange dream with my family. It was too strange for me because I never imagined or it never crossed my mind such things ever. Next day I heard that the person in my dream is going to come to our house within a week. When I heard that, I was very much scared. I told my brother to pray about it and decide whether we want to give this person entry in our house or not. That week the Lord assured us protection. Then the day came and the said person came and went. When he left my brother told me, "he gave me two identical calendars." I said, "Oh.. NO.. he gave me two identical buckets in my dream and now you got two identical calendars." I stood thunderstruck with awe and thought about the danger. I had a deep regret that my brother allowed him to come to our home. Then I remembered the dream, which said that, "nothing had happened" so there was a little bit relief. Only thing I could do was to pray to the Lord for protection and to leave the burden on Him knowing that He controls the whole universe. That night I waited to see if something unusual developed but nothing had happened and then in the next two days nothing had happened. So I began to think few things.1. God had protected us and so nothing had happened.2. Nothing was there in those calendars but it was just a dream3. This kind of thing is totally impossible. Well after two three days a person related to him visited us. After some talk he was looking all over the walls and it seemed that he was very much curious to know about the calendars. I heard that thief leaves a big trail behind it so don't know what he was trying to figure out. After talking to him I felt strongly that those calendars had something fishy in it. If you read in the Bible you find that Joseph saw two dreams about his brothers and parents bowing down and worshiping him (Gen 37:5-11). Gen 37:5 -11, "Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. "There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf." And his brothers said to him, "Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?" So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, "Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me." So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?" And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind." The dream indeed looked silly and unbelievable but when God gives dreams it comes to pass. The dreams of Joseph indeed looked strange and unimaginable but one day the dreams came to pass. It looked very strange how a family of the shepherd boy would bow before him and will give him respect. It took many years but it did got fulfilled. The brothers of Joseph who wanted to kill him anyway, could not kill him. Instead they had to bow down and beg for their lives. Joseph who was once no one in the sight of his elder brothers became prime minister of Egypt and the big, bossy brothers had to beg for their lives. I would like to share one more dream, which my brother saw almost fifteen years back. It was in the year 1992 I believe. One morning as we were having our morning tea my brother told about his dream. He said, "I saw in my dream that three parrots died on the terrace due to heat." I laughed and asked, 'what a silly dream it is', that I hear "three parrots died on terrace but why?" Well none of us knew at that time that it was a very serious dream. There were riots going on because Hindus had demolished Babri Mosque of U.P India. There were wide spread looting and arson going on and the mobs were burning shops and vehicles. It was 11 in the morning and my brother said to us let us get on the terrace to see what was happening outside. So we three my brother, my sister and I went up to look. My dad was in US at that time and at home my mom was there. After a few minutes as we were looking the trucks and shops were burning we heard gun shots. Later we figured out that someone was shooting from nearby. 4-5 shots were fired on us and one bullet just went above our head. I turned back to look and asked my brother, "was it a bird flying above our head? but bird can't fly making this high sound 'zooioooo' and with such a high speed." That time my mom shouted from below saying, why are you standing there I hear gun shots." As we turned back and walked toward the stair-ways we heard more shots. The bullets were fired on us from 8-10 feet away but God had protected us. After an hour or so I told, "may be nothing was there and we may have just felt something. Let's get up to the terrace to see what was happening." What a foolish idea it was. Didn't know that death was waiting for an opportunity. We three climbed up again and a few minutes later a person next door came out. They had one room on terrace so he climbed up on it. At that point don't know why my brother said, "let me climb up on the water tank to see what was happening far away." As he climbed up, right away he got down from the tank and said, "let us get down as that person had just taken out his gun from his pocket." So we got down and escaped. What a great God He is. He knew what that person was planning against us. How true the dream was, "three parrots died on terrace due to heat." God not only showed the dream but sent His angels and protected us from bullet shots. It was just a beginning time of our ministry and we were just learning how God speaks through dreams and what He shows through those dreams. Fifteen years back if God had not protected us, we three or any of us would have been dead. If you love God and if you are a saved and spirit filled person God protects His own. You know your times are in His hands and before time no one can kill you. 2. God speaks through impressions or thoughts:John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."If you are a spirit filled person some times God speaks and you know it deep within. When God speaks some kind of awareness comes within the heart. It just happens quickly, it could be just a flashing thought or a feeling. I may not be able to explain it very clearly but it could only be understood by experience. Once my mom, sister and I went for shopping. It was a huge shop. I was looking for some vegetables and my mom and sister were looking some other things few steps away from me. Suddenly an impression or thought flashed inside of me. The thought was, "why a person is standing around you." Till then I did not notice anything special, as it is very usual that in a shop you would see same people over and over again around you picking the same thing you are picking. But when the thought flashed in my mind I looked up to see who was there and there was a very tall man in his forties or fifties standing there. He was not looking for anything but just standing and thinking something. I moved to another stand and while I was looking at things I was keeping an eye on him. After a few minutes later I figured out that he was also standing there. So I left the place to join my mom and sister so that I may not be standing alone. Meanwhile I told my sister to keep an eye on him. Again I found out that he was standing nearby. During that time I clearly noticed one thing that he was not buying anything but was just thinking something. He followed us in that shop everywhere we went. When the time of checkout came we stood in the checkout line to pay the money and I found out that he also stood in checkout line and had only one orange in his clear grocery bag. We got out from that place and walked few steps and turned back to see if he is still there and to my surprise he was following us from a little distance. We had to buy some other things so we crossed the road and went across the road. After few seconds my sister and I looked back and found out that he was still there. So my sister said, it looks that he is definitely following us, let's get out of here without buying anything. Meanwhile I think he noticed clearly that we were keeping an eye on him. We again crossed the road and walked toward our car, which was parked half a block away. Finally to our relief he was not there and we got out of that place. Well I may never know what his intentions were. What was he thinking and why he was following us but one thing I know that God creates some kind of awareness about the things and you find out that something is not right. Finally I would like to share one more experience. One day a person called over the phone and asked if his parents are at our home. He said that they were supposed to come to our house. My brother said, "they are not here yet but if they are coming may be they are on the way so call back after half an hour to find out. Well as my brother hung the phone he felt some impression or thought that somebody else is going to come. So he came to us and told, "if you hear the bell don't right away open the door I feel that somebody else is going to come." Well my brother was right. After an hour the doorbell rang. We looked out and saw that a white male (stranger) in his thirties was there. He was wearing a hat so that half of his face was not visible. He looked to be in a kind of hurry and restlessness. He was looking here and there all around. We do not know who he was and what his intention was, but God puts some kind of awareness in heart that something is not right. God speaks in various ways and communicates His message. If you are a child of God and if you have received the anointing of the Holy Spirit you can escape many dangers. As Bible says, when spirit of truth comes to you, He tells the things which He hears. If God's spirit is residing in your heart the same spirit creates the awareness about the coming danger. The Bible says that Holy Spirit guides us in all truth. If you are a spirit filled person it is really a privilege where God constantly speaks and guides you but if you have not received this precious gift yet you can receive the Holy Spirit by asking from God.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
