In past days and months we have witnessed so many catastrophes, tragedies, violence and loss of lives. Just this week hurricane Katrina hit in the US cost of four states Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. Mississippi and Louisiana are still facing so many problems. Many lives were lost. Houses are gone and water is still rising in New Orleans which is already 80% merged under water. They are calling it Tsunami of America. Problems are not limited to this part of the world but all over the world people are facing crisis. It was just in today's news that in Iraq more than nine hundred people died during the pilgrimage in the stampede. A few weeks back there was flooding in Bombay, India and many died in that incident. It seems that wherever you look there is too much chaos and devastation. Before that there was Tsunami in South Asia. What's going on to our world? Are we going to die?A few months back I watched a documentary that showed how our resources are fast vanishing from this planet. Many of the things which we take as granted will not be available as easily as today in this planet after this century like crud oil, water, food etc. "The wars of the future are going to be fought over water," says Maude Barlow, chair of the Council of Canadians, a citizens' group with 100,000 members. She cites a recent United Nations study that says by 2025 - only 20 years away - two-thirds of the world will be "water-poor." Another report says that crud oil will be 17% less by 2020. The documentary I saw suggested that we must find a better place to live because this world will soon be worn out and will not be a place to live. The reason is that nobody will have enough to eat or drink. Bible tells us in 2 Tim 3:1, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:.." Jesus said in John 14:1-3, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."There is a beautiful place called heaven where Jesus went to prepare a place for them who are washed by His blood. We do not know what holds in our future but if we give our lives in the mighty hands of Jesus, He will take care of us. In the midst of tears and troubles He will fill us with His peace and when we close our eyes in this world, we will enjoy in the house prepared by Jesus Himself. Seeing all the uncertainty around you, are you afraid of the future? Of course we do not know what tomorrow will bring in our way but our future is safe and secure in the mighty hands of Jesus. If you are not ready to go to the wonderful place which Jesus is preparing for us, today is the day to come to Him and give your life to Him. Secure your place in heaven.
My Journey as a Programmer!
When I came to USA I worked in computer that was non-programming job. As it was God's will for me to start learning programming, I started with Visual Basic. Whomever I talked about it, the opinion was that VB is the easiest language to learn. But in fact I found it very hard to learn. About five years back one day I was praying and asking God whether I should change the line and do something else which could be easier for me to do? God told me that, "You will become a game developer." At that time I had no idea what does the game developing meant though I loved playing games in my computer. I started searching on the Internet to see what it was. I came across with some website where they taught game programming. With great interest I looked in those sites. But soon my interest faded away because game development needed solid Math background, great intelligence and logic in which I am completely nil. I again asked God, "Are you really sure that I will be game programmer?" He said, "Yes". I started searching more and most of the website told me that VB is just not fine for game programming. They also told me that if I wanted to do game programming, I needed to learn C++. By this time I realized that if programming is tough, game programming is 100% or even 1000% tougher. The more I searched the more I realized that game programming is not for me. I was scared to tell anybody in my home because I knew if I told anybody, they would laugh and laugh. After many months searching I gave up the idea to become a game developer. I pushed aside the very thoughts of becoming a game developer. About a year later I joined in a short course of Macromedia Flash to learn the animation. At the end of that course they taught us to make a small game. When I learned how to make that small game the very thoughts of “game developer” which I had pushed aside from my mind, came alive again. Now I had the tool to create games but still programming was hard for me. I started creating games and I told my brother that I am going to create a new game. He asked me what features would be in your game. After hearing he said, it has no excitement and he gave me so many instructions that how to bring excitement in that game. But oh, well it became so complicated that once again I started loosing my courage of making games. I had no idea how to do it. I thought many days but there was no clue. I regretted that why I told my brother about it. One morning I was reading my Bible. It was Isaiah 40th chapter. When I came to the verse Isa 40:26, "Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing" and in Isa 40:28, "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable." I started praying, "Father God, I know you are full of wisdom and knowledge. You have created this world with your great wisdom that is beyond the understanding of scientists and intellectuals. I do not need this much wisdom to create the world but I want the wisdom that may be just a tiny fraction of pinhead to finish my game. I prayed continuously and God filled me with new ideas to do that. I implicated those ideas and I could finish my game. Whenever I was stuck somewhere, I asked God to help me and He gave me new ideas to do it. Since then God helped me to created more games successfully. And I know it is only a beginning of His promise.He is the God who fulfills His promises. Bible says in 2 Cor 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." If God has spoken something, He will do it without fail. God said in Habakkuk 2:3, "For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry." Have you received a promise from God, hold on to it. It will come to pass in its own time. No matter how impossible it looks to you but certainly it will come true.Are you saying that you have no wisdom? Have you started new year in your school or college and are worried about success in your studies? Look to Jesus for He gives to them who ask. James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him”. Claim James 1:5 in your life every day. He will graciously fill you with His divine wisdom.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 9th Mar. 2010
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 9th Mar. 2010
