By Sherly Isaac

We are living in an age where people are more and more attracted to the world. Our Churches are bending down towards paganism and other wrong rituals that is an abomination to God. Few days back this news came in CBN News, titled, "Next Head of Anglican Church Becomes a Druid"

(CBN News) — The next head of the Church of England is now a druid. Dr. Rowan Williams, the newly nominated Archbishop of Canterbury, was named an honorary white druid in a ceremony on Sunday. "Druid" is a pre-Christian term used to describe pagan priests.

These type of priests appeared as a sorcerer or magician in certain branches of the Celtic race, especially among the Gauls and Britons. These type of priests sacrificed humans, performed divination and magic as a part of their worship."

It is unbelievable that "head of the Church" who is about to become Archbishop of Canterbury next year became druid.
Another news titled, "Catholic Bishops Issue Statement that Jews Are Already Saved" says like this:

(CBN News) — America's Roman Catholic bishops and leaders of Reform and Conservative Judaism have issued a joint statement which says that Jews should not be targeted for conversion to Christianity.

The statement grew from more than two decades of meetings between the U.S. religious leaders. It says that, "While the Catholic Church regards the saving act of Christ as central to the process of human salvation for all, it also acknowledges that Jews already dwell in a saving covenant with God."

But when we read the New Testament we know that Paul was a Jew. He says about himself in Phil 3:5-6, "circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless."

And in Acts 26:5 he says, "They knew me from the first, if they were willing to testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee." And in Acts 23:6 he says, "I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee.."

Paul was Pharisee, a Jew from the tribe of Benjamin, Hebrew of the Hebrews but still he needed to be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. Still he needed to be converted from his evil ways and embrace the almighty God. Not only he was converted to Christ by making Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior but also he proclaimed the Gospel to Jews and Gentiles both. Gal 2:7-8 says that, Peter was called to preach the Gospel to Jews but Paul was called to preach the Gospel to Gentiles." If there was no need of salvation for Jews then why Peter was called to preach the Gospel to the Jews? Why Paul needed to get saved? The reason is simple, no matter what we are, we all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. And we all need salvation or forgiveness of our sins. Yes, including Jews need salvation that comes through Jesus Christ the Messiah alone. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is the day of salvation. Invite Jesus in your life and you will never be the same again.

Those who are faithful recieve more

By Sheela Isaac

What does it mean by faithful. Person, who is willing to hear the word of God and obey it as it is without fail, is called faithful. 1 Sam 2:35, 'Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind……….’

Here in this verse God says “I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind.” Obedience is that key. Today there are hundreds of ministries but very few who reach to the higher levels, who reach to the some extent of Bible days Prophets and Apostles. Why? Why we do not see many people in big ministries? Many have started ministry with 50 people and you will find after 10 years that they are still there with same 50 people. After 15-20 years you will find them again in same position with same 50-75 people. No growth, ministry is not growing. Why? Reason is they are not faithful people or God never called them for ministry.

Every time I used to see a bigger ministry a greater ministry with thousands of people, always a thought crossed my mind “How could they reach this place, how they could achieve this?” The truth is they were faithful. They obeyed God in everything. They walked in the ways of God diligently. They longed for holiness and they were vigilant to obey God in any cost. This is the only key to reach higher levels of ministry.

I heard many TV preachers say the same thing over and over again. We started our ministry with 400 people but now we have 13,000 members. We started our ministry with 4000 people now it has grown to 17,000. Wow!!! One lady Pastor said “I have started my ministry with cottage prayer meeting, but now I am preaching on TV to millions”. Yes today her conventions gather more than 20,000 people. These are growing ministries. They all have started with very small ministry but today they have reached to higher levels.

What about your ministry? Where do you stand today? Do you see such tremendous growth in your ministry? If not something is wrong with you. If not check up your life and see where are you falling short. 10 minutes prayer doesn’t yield any fruit. Lack of Bible reading and Bible knowledge does not yield any fruit. Lack of loyalty toward God does not bring any good to your ministry. Lack of holiness does not take you to heights. Once a Pastor who claimed to be born again and spirit filled told, “I am in a administrative position so it is not possible to preach about Salvation.” I was shocked I said, “What did you say.” He again said, “When you are in that position it is not possible to stand before an audience and preach Salvation, it is very hard to stand in front of people and preach on their face about Salvation”. What a pity. You cannot preach salvation then why you are there in the first place, what are you doing there? I don’t understand.

Coward people cannot do ministry. If you are scared of death you do not fit for ministry. Ministry needs lot of courage. When I took 16 days training in Jesus Calls ministry. Bro. Dhinakaran a mighty man of God in India who draws 300,000 people in one convention told “Ministry is not a bed of roses, you are here dedicating your life for ministry to preach the Gospel, it will bring lot of tears and pain even it could bring death in your life. If you are not willing to die for this Gospel, If you are scared you are not fit for this work.” Again he said “if you are really scared please leave your books and literatures here and go back to your home, because it is not an easy road.” As long as I live I can never forget those words. Yes my friend ministry is not a joke. It is not a game but it needs faithfulness toward God. When you minister, it will bring tears in your eyes. Ten people may call you over telephone and say “don’t preach this, this and this, you cannot preach such things. You may receive many emails saying “don’t write such things or I will throw you in jail and destroy your life. Are you going to run away and hide because of threat? No… stand firm and preach this Gospel of hope till you die.

Many died for this Gospel, many were tortured, and many became martyr why? They were faithful. They were loyal to God. Couple of weeks back I saw a documentary about Corrie ten Boom on TV. It is a heart-melting story. Corrie ten Boom and her family lived in Holland during Nazi regime. They were devote Christians. Their home was an open home for anybody who was in need. During the Second World War their home became a hiding place for many Jews and Dutch people. Nazi regime was trying to kill as many as Jews. So as per God’s guidance corrie and her family tried to rescue as many Jews as possible and hid them in secret places.

Finally one day Nazi secret police found out what they were doing so they raided their home. Though they could not find any Jew in their home as they were hoping because they were hiding in a secret place in that home. But still they took Corrie ten Boom and her family in prison.

They risked their lives because they were faithful to God. And they had to pay the ultimate price for their faith in Jesus Christ. When police asked Corrie’s father who was 84 years old then a question “do you know you could die for helping Jews?” His answer was "It would be an honor to give my life for God's ancient people". Corrie’s father died in prison only after 10 days of his arrest. Her brother and nephew could never come out of prison they also died there. Corrie and her sister Betsy lived in prison for 10 months. They were tortured mercilessly in death camp. Finally one day before their release from prison her sister Betsy also died.

Corrie ten Boom was released from prison in 1944 and was all-alone to live her life. While she was in prison, she and her sister preached about Savior Jesus Christ and many women were saved during that time. After her release of two weeks time, which was a clerical mistake, Nazi killed all the women of her age.

Corrie ten Boom and her family were faithful to God and that’s why she became a channel of blessing to many. She began her worldwide ministry and visited more than 60 nations with the Gospel of Salvation. She preached this Gospel for next 32 years. Her message was “Jesus is Victor” this message brought many to Christ.

Yes my friend, this Gospel is not that cheap. It requires heavy price. People paid the price for this Gospel and preached it in any cost. What about you? Are you afraid to preach the Gospel?

Bible says Moses was faithful toward God and ministry. Num 12:7, “….My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.

Moses was faithful that’s why he reached the higher position were no other prophets could reach. He became the leader over more than 24,00,000 Jews.

Moses had two choices in front of him. Either deny the call of God and lead a peaceful life atleast for a while with his family tending sheep in the land of Midian or stand before king of Egypt to face death. He could have chosen easy life, but no he decided to obey God. That is called faithfulness. He was ready to obey God for any cost. He was willing to pay any price for the call of God.

Now he stands before King of Egypt Pharaoh. He says to king “thus says the Lord, Let My people go.” “Let Israelites go free to worship the God of Israel.” Do you think king would let go all the bond laborers who worked night and day for his kingdom? Do you think king would easily give up? No it was not that easy. He was not a Christian king to hear the voice of Moses. It was a very hard task. Pharaoh could have easily killed Moses, because he was the highest authority in that land.

Here we find over and over again Pharaoh denies Moses’ request. Moses might have thought it is almost impossible to deliver these people from the land of Egypt. He might have been discouraged many times but he stood faithfully to obey God. He obeyed God, whatever God said he did without fail.

Again we find because of his request to king to let Israelites go free he got into more trouble. They had to face more hardship than what they are already facing. Here we see another picture not only Pharaoh was against Moses but all the Israelites (his own people) stood against him. They murmured against him. They might have stoned him to death. Moses was still faithful to God. He did not run away. He did not deny the calling because of trouble.

Again look at the incidence of the life of Moses. When they were standing at the bank of red sea army of Pharaoh was chasing them to kill them. Israelites cried out and stood against Moses. Exo 14:11, “Then they said to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?” Again he was in a situation of life and death. Either more than 24,00,000 Israelites will stone him to death or Pharaoh will kill him. In this dreaded situation also Moses looks to God for help, he was still ready to obey God. He was still ready to do whatever God wanted him to do. We can understand how faithful he was.

Over and over again we read that task of Moses was not easy. Moses led these many people to wilderness for forty years. He did not have any resourse to feed these many people. He had no money to buy anything. He did not know what he is going to do with these many people in wilderness. Every time when Israelites had shortage of water and food every time they murmured against Moses. They were ready to kill Moses.

Exo 17:3, “And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, "Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?" Exo 17:4, “So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!"

Here in above verse Moses says, “they are almost ready to stone me”. Ministry was not that easy for Moses but he stood faithfully till the end. That made him a great prophet, a great leader, because he was willing to obey God.

Are you willing to obey God? Do you want to reach to those glorious heights in your ministry? Look toward God. Correct yourself. Be loyal to God. Be faithful to God and be obedient to Him and some day He will use you. Stand firm for the Gospel let what may come. Serve the Lord diligently. And you will see your ministry growing and flourishing.
May God help you to reach those glorious heights.

I know who hold my future

By Sherly Isaac

From last many weeks and months we are hearing about fluctuation in economy. Sometimes stocks go up and sometimes down. No one knows what tomorrow will bring for us. And for many employees it is hard time thinking about lay offs. Many companies have laid-off thousands of their workers. If you have a job today still you do not know that whether tomorrow you will be having that job or not.

Now the Europe, Asia, Russia are facing worst flood which was never occurred in last 500 years or so. Till yesterday they had no idea that flood can come like this that may wipe away cities, homes and their valuable possessions. Many lost their lives because of flood. They might have never thought that their lives will end so soon.

Few weeks back some of the American states had wild fire that wiped away many acres of forest. According to the experts it will take more than 100 years to have this type of forest again. Many homes were burnt down. Many were evacuated and many lost their belongings. Yes, we do not know what is ahead of us. We do not know what our future holds.

Back in India we were living at the side of a two-way broad road and after crossing the road there was a big ground where few villagers came and made their small huts and started living there. One day I was standing at terrace. I saw that one old man put fire at outside of his little hut to bake his bread. He put on the fire, it was hardly five minutes there was heavy rain. He took bread out of the fire and went into the hut. Within few moments the rain stopped, he came out and put fire again and started baking bread again but rain came again and he had to go back again. It happened several times before he could eat the bread.

It is possible that you expected it to never happen. Yes, things may go wrong and storms and rain may stop you from achieving the goal of your life. You life may be filled with sighs and pain. But if you give your life to Jesus, He will take care of your future. Psalmist says in Psalms 31:15, "My times are in Your hand;.."

In the beginning of this year, one of my friends wrote to me, "I know not what the future holds but I know who holds my future." These words brought comfort and joy in my heart whenever I was down. I thought, "Yes, Jesus holds my future then why I should be afraid. When my future is in the hands of God then why I should worry about anything." We do not know what next moment, next hour or next day will bring for us but if our life is in the hands of Jesus, He will take care of us.

Once I read about a little bird that makes her nest in the rocks. She lays her eggs in that nest. Nestlings need not to worry about what is going on outside of their nest. Storms and rain may come but they stay in their nest without any fear and with all peace. In the same way, if you are hiding in the rock of ages - the almighty God, then you need not to worry for anything. You will stay in complete peace no matter how severe storms and rains may come in your way. You will enjoy His peace in your life. If you do not have this peace and if you have not given your life to Jesus, give your life to Jesus and He will give you His peace that passes all understanding. Please

pray this prayer with me:
Loving Jesus, I give my life to you. Please take it and give me your peace. Fill my heart with the peace that world cannot give. Please wash me with your precious blood. I invite you today as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and take control of my life. Lord Jesus, I thank you for coming into my life and holding my future. Thank you for you are going to make my future bright. I pray in Jesus name Amen.

I am very glad that I was put on your mailing list several years ago. You are the last christian group that I am recieving regular mailings from, well that isn't exactly true, but the last theology group. I am impressed with your faith and love. I find so many christians that are so hateful of Jews. I do know that in India you are much more attuned to the Muslim menace facing the world today, the Hindu's are more likely to be targeted there, but so much of the world seems to be unaware that Islamists are murdering all other religions in whatever part of the world they exist is numbers that can sustain open warfare. I cannot understand the constant criticism of Israel, when they are faced with daily murder by Islamists. Thank you so much for your help.

I have come to the conclusion that our faith has been severely distorted by the hate of Jews that invaded the church since the second century and that if we continue to ignore the Hebrew scripture the church will continue to disintegrate. We need to re-establish the church's relationship with Judaism if we are to ever truely understand scripture. I am so tired of haters who claim to have the 'truth'. Thanks for your good works. I am appreciative beyond my ability to express.
Shannon

I have greatly appreciated & enjoyed your scripture & biblical studies since you first provided them to me but have found that with my own research & scriptural studies that time available becomes smaller & smaller.

I thank you for broadening my studies & for deepening my passion for seeking GOD's WORD. I pray your ministry flourishes.
May GOD bless & keep you always.
