"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." ( 1 Pet 5:7) Bible tells here to cast all our cares upon Him(God), for He cares for us. Many times we go through problems and we worry about many things. Many times we worry thinking what may happen the next day and how we will go further? Some days back one single mother wrote to me that she lost her 2 years old son and she wrote, "I am confused, I am hurt so deeply there are no words to describe what I feel. I feel so unstable, all my strength from being a single mother for so long has been taken away, my confidence, my whole self is in question." Yes, sometimes we go through such situation and we think there is no way out of our problems. But the Bible says, "Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you." 12th Sep. was my birthday and when I look back, I give thanks and praise to God for all the wonderful things He did in my life. All these days He protected us and took care of us. We did not lack anything on any single day. I was born in a very rich family but in the year 1983 my father was thrown out from his very secure Govt. job overnight. We went through much financial crisis and when we turned to our relatives they said, "you can stay in our home as long as you want, but do not ask for money on loan." And we were in this situation that no one did help us. We shed bitter tears before God. We asked Jesus to help us and every day when my mother used to go to kitchen, she used to pray before she started cooking anything and she used to ask God, "bless my vessels" God did the same thing according to His words as the Bible says in Deuteronomy 28:5, "Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl." And we could see miracles. Many times we experienced that food items were increased according to our needs. Even the cooking gas(tank) which normally exhausts in 15 days to 1 month, but in our home we used one gas cylinder for almost two to three months. Yes my friend, Jesus can do the same thing for you. If you are going through financial crisis, if you are going through sickness, if you are going through tears and unbearable pain… look to Jesus, no matter what your situation is, cast all your care upon Him and ask God that He may bless every area of your life. Every day when we hear news, we hear about DEATH......, DEATH...., and DEATH.... Today morning in the TV I heard the news which said, "Some body fired randomly in Texas (USA) Baptist Church during Church service and killed 8 people and injured 6 people. News says that he cursed and made derogatory comments about the Baptist religion as he walked around and fired and later killed himself. This is today's situation. Nobody appears to be safe. Some days back we heard about Colorado School Shooting, after that again white supremacist started his shooting rampage on Jews, blacks and Asians, and again shooting in some office building. We heard it again and again. today we are living in an unsafe world. Nothing looks safe for us, nobody knows when death will come. Nobody knows what will happen the next hour or the next minute. You may be thinking, "I am leaving home today but do not know whether I will return home alive or not."1. Devil is at loose: Yes my friend we are living today in this situation. Every thing looks very unsafe. Devil is raging, whole hell looks break loose. Devil is deceiving many and working in their lives suggesting to kill, take drugs, go in night clubs, watch movies, hear rock and pop music, make tattoos on body and so on.... These are the works of devil. Think about yourself which way you are going today. Every thing looks very modern and great, but remember it is ruining your life and soul. Every thing looks great now but remember one day you have to stand before your Creator. One day you have to give account of every thing which you do in this life. Ecclesiastes11:9, "Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment." What this verse says, "do what ever you want to do, live as you like to but remember one day you are going to give account for every thing you did." If you gain the whole world and loose your own soul what will be the use of all these pleasures. If you get a little joy in all these things and if you reach in hell fire for ever and ever, what will be the use of all these joy. You are going to enjoy it for a while, you are not going to live in this world for ever, but only for 80, 90 or 100 years. After that eternity will begin and if you loose heaven you will be in hell (the place of eternal torment, pain and restlessness) for eternity. Think about it, think about your eternal life. Where do you want to spend your eternal life? Life is not a joke. Yes my friends, take it seriously. Today you have time to repent from your sins and get assured a place in heaven. This is the time to cry out before Lord Jesus and make every thing right with Him. 2. Safety comes from God alone: Only God your Creator can give you safety. Devil is ready to destroy every body but Lord Jesus came to restore us and give us abundant life - The life full of joy and happiness. John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:11, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." Yes my friend, Jesus gave His life on Calvary for us to save us from the hands of devil. He died to give us eternal life. What a great God, what a great love. Have you ever thought about it. Give your life to Him and you will never be the same again. Let us see quickly how safety comes from God. If we read the life of David we see how God protected him. The day King Saul knew that David found favor in the sight of God, Saul decided to kill him. He knew that his throne was in trouble. He knew that David would take his place and become king. King Saul was searching for him to kill him. 1 Samuel 23:14, "And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand." This verse says that Saul sought him every day, but Saul could not succeed. He was a king who had all the power to find David but still he could not do that. Why? God was with David. God did not deliver him in to the hands of Saul. God was protecting him. Yes protection comes from God. You may have gun, you may have metal detector, you may have bodyguards, you may have bulletproof car, but remember one thing only God can protect you. Your gun may not work at the time of trouble but God is always able to protect you. In which is your trust today on gun or God? On bodyguard or God? Trust God who said, "God of Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers." If you put trust on Him you will be always safe. Trust God, always look to Him for your safety and He will keep you safe. Every day before you leave home pray to God and ask for His safety and leave everything in the hands of God. He will take care of you. Every day pray, "Lord cover me under your Calvary's blood, cover me under your old rugged Cross. Send your angels and protect me, and He will do it for you. The God who protected David will protect you and keep you safe.May God bless you.
The Anointing

Many times people say, "miracle days are over, God does not do any miracles now a days…." Many say, "He did it in the time of Bible but now it is not possible…". Some say, "God is dead…., God does not exist." Recently I was studying Old Testament of the Bible and I find that every prophet of God, every man of God who did great things, every person who judged Israel with the help of God, every man who did great things, all of them got the anointing of God. They were filled with the mighty power of Holy Spirit. I read about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Samson and other men of God. God’s Holy Spirit came upon all of them and they did mighty things. I will quote one or two verses from the Bible. The Bible says in Judges 6:34, "But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet…" Judges 3:10, "The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the LORD delivered Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand…" Judges 11:29, "Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah…" And in New Testament we read about Jesus in Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." And the Bible says in Acts 10:38, "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." Yes, sir you can have this anointing of God in your life. When Jesus Himself needed the anointing of God in His life then why not you? If you want to live a holy life, if you want to do mighty things, if you want to shake the world, if you want to pull down the strongholds of devil….. you need this anointing which Jesus had and which all the prophets of the Bible had. Without His power you can not do anything. You may ask, but how can I get this anointing? The Bible says in Joel 2:28, "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And in Acts 2:18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.Who are eligible to receive Holy Spirit?1. Those who are saved: If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior then you are eligible to receive Holy Sprit. Because the Bible says in John 14:16-17, "And I(Jesus) will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." Many people confuse with salvation and getting filled with the Holy Spirit. They think that when a person get saved, he or she already have the Holy Spirit. No, it is not true. When you get saved then you were sealed with the Holy Spirit as the Bible says in Ephesians 1:13, In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. I would like to give an example here… If you are thirsty, what will you do to quench your thirst? If you go and take bath in a spring several times even then you can not quench your thirst, but if you want to quench your thirst, you should drink a glass of water. The Holy Spirit works in the same manner. When you get saved, you are sealed with Holy Spirit but not filled with the Holy Spirit. Both are different experiences and you must have to get this second experience. Without this, your life is worthless.2. Those who are thirsty: The Bible says in Isaiah 44:3, "For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring…" And also the Bible says in John 4:13-14, "Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.’ If you are thirsty to get the Holy Spirit of God, He will certainly give it to you as Jesus said to the Samaritan woman that whoever drinks of the water that He gives will never thirst. And the Bible says in John 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."3. Those who ask God: The Bible says in Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" When we ask God to fill us with His Holy Spirit, He fills us with His mighty power and authority and with His gifts of the Holy Sprit. Just ask Him that you need this Holy Spirit and He will fill you. Many people did not receive it because they never asked for it. They are satisfied with their salvation they never grew in the Lord and never tried to ask God what God has been kept for them. If you are saved, it is good, but spiritual life never ends there. There are many more spiritual experiences than salvation. That’s why Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." Yes, we have to transform in the image of God from glory to glory. And to live every day with Jesus in holiness you need Holy Spirit. Yes, my friend, there is an experience of walking with God, there is an experience of getting blessings from the hands of God, there is an experience of knowing the heart of God. You need to take this wonderful experience in your life. May God bless you!

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 9th Dec. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 11th Nov. 2008
