Isa 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Jesus is a wonderful counselor. He guides us in the way we have to go. But the question is how can we know that it is from God? Many people say "I felt deeply that it is God's will....", but I can say this is not leading from God. Leading is something different, it is communicating with God Himself. well, I heard a funny story. Once a man was looking for work and wanted to know the will of God but he didn't know how could he know the will of God. Finally he got an idea and said "I will open the Bible and whatever verse I first come upon, I will do according to it." So he closed his eyes and opened the Bible. When he looked upon the verse it was .....".......And He died" And he said "Oh, this is not for me." So he closed the Bible and said "This time the Lord will give me the correct verse" and he closed his eyes and opened the Bible. Very gently he opened his eyes and looked upon the verse, and it was......".......Go and do this." And again he said "No Lord, it is not for me." Then again he opened the Bible and this time the verse before him was.... ".........do it quickly." Yes, my friend if we use the Bible as a magic book we will get the same result; but when we seek His will deligently He guides us in so many many ways. As the Bible says in Exo 33:11, "And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend."And again the Bible says in Gen 37:5, "And Joseph dreamed a dream,......." And the Bible says that his dream was fulfilled as it was. Dan 1:17 "As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams." Yes, God talks to us through visions and dreams, as the Bible says in Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions." It is a marvelous experience. Why not ask for this experience from God. He is the mighty God. The Bible says that nothing is impossible for Him. You may have many many problems in your life. Maybe you are at the end of your rope - but today I want to say that Jesus can move your mountains by His mighty power. Look to Jesus, He is ready to do this. Everlasting Father...... Yes, He is our everlasting father. He will take care forever and ever. When you go through the valley of problems, tears or maybe death, He will never leave you nor forsake you as the Bible says in Isa 49:5, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee." He is going to be with you always. Prince of Peace....... Jesus came in this peaceless world as Prince of Peace. And wants to give peace in our personal life, in our own heart. If we open our heart for Him and say "Lord I am a sinner, please forgive me and give me a life full of peace." He will certainly do this because He is the Prince of Peace. In this Christmas and all through your life the Prince of Peace wants to rule in your heart. Why not give Him a chance to come in and fill your life with Peace, Joy and full of Happiness?May God bless you!
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Feb. 2012
