Worry is part of every person's life from birth until death and some times it eats us up. But God wants us to live a worry free life. Jesus said in Mat 6:31-34, "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."My dad was an official in government. He was in a good job and was drawing a decent salary. But every month after first week there would be big cry that all the money was used up. Month after month I saw my parents discussing and much worried how to go through remaining twenty plus days? In those days there were times when great fear gripped my soul and often I felt hopeless and helpless. But when we all got saved, God took those worries from our hearts. Whether we had money in our hands or not, we knew that God will take care of us.Yes, God wants to give us a perfect peaceful life. In the midst of crisis, in the midst of heartbreaks, in the midst of mounting problems, He wants us to experience His peace in our lives. For this very purpose He came in this world and died for us so that we could have a peaceful life.Math has always been the toughest subject for me. No matter how hard I studied; I had very little success in this subject. When I was taking my high school exams and on the day I took my math paper, I felt that I was not going to get pass marks. I came home and I was so distressed that I wept and wept. I don't know when I fell asleep but when I woke up, the first thing I saw was the scripture calendar that was hanging on the wall of my room. The verses were from Prov 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."I felt as if God was speaking directly to me through these verses. A great peace filled in my soul. After that, every time when I tried to think about my math paper, I had no worries but great peace in my heart. At that time I could not understand that God had answered my prayers and that was the reason why great peace came in my heart. And when results came, I passed my exam with flying colors. I was completely amazed when I looked at my math score, it was beyond my imagination that I scored very high marks. I realized that it was nothing else but supernatural intervention.Later on I understood about the great peace I experienced while reading my Bible. Yes, my friend, no matter what your circumstances, no matter what you are going through, no matter how grave the situation may look but there is a great peace available for you. If you look to Jesus, if you ask Him to fill you with His great peace, He will gladly do it. Your circumstances cannot over power you nor could it uproot you, nor could it shake you.Have you ever thought about those little birds whose nest is in the rocks? Let the wind blow and storm rage with all its full fury, still those little chicklings will be sleeping inside the nest without any fear or worry. Because they know that they are secure inside. No amount of storm could ever bother them. That type of peace God wants to give us. A worry free life. The more we trust in Him the more secure and peaceful we would be.
Mat 18:11, "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.Bible says that Jesus came to save that which was lost. Who are the lost? The Bible says that all have sinned and that all are lost. Regardless of cast creed or religion, each and every person who is born in this world is lost in sin. If sin is ruling your life sin is your master. Bible says in Rom 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Rom 6:23 says, " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." If sin is ruling your life you are dead in SIN. A sinful person cannot stand before the Holy God. A sinful person cannot enter in God's holy place where God dwells. That's why the Bible says that a sinful person cannot go to heaven. Unless and until you receive forgiveness of sin you can't enter into heaven. When I was in India I never heard about homosexuals. Up to recent years I never thought that such people would be found in India. But recently I heard a statistics of India and it startled me. Statistics says that India has about three million homosexuals and according to other statistics it could be upto fifty million. It is hard to swallow but it is a reality. There are people who think that they are homosexuals because they were created in that way. That's a lie from the devil. God does not create sinful people but the fall of human beings have brought sin in our society. Bible clearly says that it is sin. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha with fire and brimstone because of the sin of homosexuality. Gen 13:13, "But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the LORD."The men of Sodom were homosexuals.Gen 19:4-5, "But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them."God destroyed the people of Sodom because of sin.Jude 1:7, "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."2 Pet 2:6, "And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;.."When I was in India I never heard about people living together out of wedlock. Recently I was reading an Indian Newspaper which said that one state of India has approved the bill accepting to "live in relationship". The news further said that the bill is waiting for the approval of central government. What is meant by "live in relationship" bill? People living together as husband and wife out of wedlock should receive full benefit from government as married couples are getting. This bill allows people to live together as husband and wife not going through marriage ceremony and still considered legal to do so. What an amazement!!! Our society is thinking that they are marching toward higher values and turning into a modern and high society. But that's a false assumption and they do not know that they are going downhill toward destruction and chaos. In USA you'll see hundreds of single mom and single dad families. Why? The dating system and living in relationship has created it all. The mess we see today is the result of it. Today India is also trying to create the same mess, not knowing that hundreds of families are in tears and in pain because of this. Hundreds of child custody battles are going on bringing heartache and pain in their lives. We are definitely not creating a better society as we are walking away from God given rules. A society which rejects God given rules and goes against it will certainly create chaos and confusion.Well, those bills should not be our guidelines but the rules of God should be. Please never forget that one day we have to stand before God our creator and we have to give an account. At that time God would not judge us according to man made rules but He is going to judge us according to the rules He has given us in Bible. God's rules are holy and according to those rules He will declare whether our lives were holy or unholy. God will discard those who lived a sinful and unholy life and will only accept those in His kingdom who had lived a clean life according to God given guidelines i.e. the Bible. Ultimately God's rules and laws will decide whether you will be the citizen of heaven or hell. So be aware of this fact that our creator is God (Jesus) and that one day we have to give an account of our lives based on every deed we do in this life. When I was in India I never heard about old age homes but now it is also becoming common. Recently I had read many heartbreaking stories of old people in Newspaper. A man had good business and he did very well in his business. He raised his family well and had two sons. He transferred all his business in his sons name and never thought that he'll see the days of betrayal and destruction. Slowly the mood of his sons turned around and they began to neglect him. One day his daughter in law beat him with shoes and pushed him out of the home. Now he is in the streets not knowing where to go. Another story says about a woman who was sitting under streetlight. When somebody tried to give her money she refused. She was in tears. Later they found out that this woman was not a beggar but her son had left her there saying that he will be returning back soon. The son never returned. Another story said that an eighty-six years old man was lying at a bus station. When asked about him. With tears in his eyes he said that his son had dropped him at the bus station saying that he'll come back after few minutes and he was still waiting for his son to return. Alas the son never returned. These are pathetic stories of betrayal and rejection. These people were betrayed by none other than their sons or daughters whom they had raised up and kept their faith. The sons and daughters whom these people taught how to walk when they were toddlers. The sons and daughters whom they gave good education, food and cloth and now when they are in need the same people failed to return favor. These are the stories of tears and pain. Why? Sin is the reason behind it. Bible says that all are under sin. Three years back when my dad was in hospital and when I realized that he might be slipping in coma. I broke down and cried before a person when she asked about his condition. The next day the remark came, "if you were married you will not have felt anything." That statement is ridiculous. If you think that after marriage you have another person to lean on and you don't need the help of your parents, then it is a selfish love. If you think that now you have somebody else to take care of you and provide for you that's why value of your parents have gone down then it is a selfish love. Whether you are married or not when you see your parents in need and if you can't help them and provide for them then you are not a human. I don't know how these people could sleep in peace after leaving their old parents in the streets. I don't know how can you eat food with joy when you know that your parents are in the street begging for food and might be going hungry for days and are on somebody else's mercy. All these stories I told indicate the sin nature of humans. Bible says that, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Rom 3:10 -11, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." The whole human race is in sin. Whether you are born in a Christian home or in a non-Christian home, sin is ruling everybody's life. We can't come out of our sin by our own effort or good works. We don't have much time to correct our lives. Only one life is given for us. We need to find a savior who could pull us out of sin. His name is Jesus. He is ready to help us out. Only Jesus has ability to redeem us from our sinful nature. Look to Jesus who can give you life eternal. You can't enter into heaven with your sins. If you continue to live in sin thinking that you are a good person that can't help you out. If you are living in sin you need to repent and turn around. If you have discarded your parents you need to repent. If your life is a sinful lifestyle you need to come to the foot of cross. You can still come to Jesus and ask for forgiveness. Let's pray.Lord Jesus I am a sinner. I come to you as I am. I have done things in my ignorance please forgive me. I have done things which is not right in your sight please forgive and forget. Come into my heart. Wash me with your precious blood and cleanse me totally. I repent from my sin. I promise that I will live a clean life. I will follow you all the days of my life. Please come into my heart. Make me a new creation. I pray in Jesus precious name. Amen.
