Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran entered into glory this week on 20th Feb. 2008. This man of God had great impact on my life and in my family members lives. We first heard about him in early 80’s. My dad was very sick even unto death with rheumatoid arthritis. He stopped eating anything and even the smell of food bothered him. At that time I was listening to a Christian radio program where Bro. Dhinakaran shared his testimony of how he was dejected and completely desperate in his life and how he finally decided to throw himself before the oncoming train. He thought that when his torn and mangled body will be brought in home, how his parents would cry and how they will be heartbroken. But to him it seemed as if there was no other option except death. But his uncle stopped him and told him about Jesus Christ that He can help him in his dire needs. He returned home thinking to give Jesus a try. He went back home and cried out to Jesus. He said, 'if you help me to come out of my misery, pain and failure I will serve you.' Then he saw all his sins in front of his eyes and he repented for four hours. A great peace came into his heart and his life was transformed completely. God not only gave him salvation but also exalted him, restored him and blessed him. His failures turned into success and God used him mightily. At the end of that program he said, Jesus is the same yesterday. today and forever, and He can do the same miracles that He did in the past. Well, all the time I was thinking, "It can't be true.., it never happens anymore" But my mom who was also listening to the program decided to write a letter asking for his prayers for my dad. She immediately wrote a letter to him. Before any reply could come from him, my dad started showing signs of improvement. A few days later the reply came from him saying, "the sickness is not for death but for the glory of God." Exactly my dad got complete healing and till this time that sickness did not come back. It wasn’t the first time I heard about Jesus but being raised in a Christian family I heard stories from Bible about Jesus many times. I myself have read Bible and Bible related stories several times. I have also memorized many psalms to heart. We also attended church regularly even I do not remember if I had missed a single Sunday Service or one Sunday School Class in my childhood. But what was new for me was the awesome power of Jesus that gave my dad’s life back, which we never experienced in our lives before. It was the first time I saw my dying dad revived. It opened a completely new door of curiosity in my heart to know more about the awesome and mighty power of Jesus. I started reading every piece of literature which came from Jesus Calls ministry. We started listening to messages of Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran and it changed our lives forever.Till that time it never crossed in our minds to serve God. Because growing up in a wealthy home, often I felt pity and sympathy for the poor condition of preachers. Often it troubled my soul to see them struggling financially and I thought of finding ways to improve their condition. Of course I never wanted to go in that line. But when Jesus came into my life and when I gave my life to Jesus, I realized that money and status is not everything and also that there is no other noble work than serving Jesus who gave His precious life on the cruel cross to save me and the whole human race from hell fire.Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran touched millions of lives and showed the way of hope and peace through Jesus Christ. I cherish those moments when my family and I met this mighty man of God personally and had the privilege of being prayed over us several times.Indeed a life well spent! We miss him greatly, but one day we will meet him in heaven. That is the greatest hope of those who are washed in the blood of Jesus and those who are walking in the ways of the Lord.My thoughts and prayers for Sis. Dhinakaran and Bro. Paul Dhinakaranand family. May the good Lord fill their hearts with great peace and joy and wipe away all tears from their eyes.
A Tribute to Bro. D. G. S. Dhinakaran

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me...(2 Tim 4:7-8)We have a very special place in our heart for Br. Dhinakaran and his family . This ministry has touched millions around the world and brought millions to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Through Bro. Dhinakaran's ministry our family found meaning and purpose for our lives. It was around 1980 When my dad was seriously ill with Arthritis. He was totally bed ridden and doctors had given up all hope for his survival. It was at that time when my mom sent a letter to Bro. to pray for his healing. Br. replied back saying, "this sickness is not for death but for the glory of God." How true it was that my dad who was not responding to medicines who was not eating anything got healed miraculously. Not only my dad got healed but this healing was total and complete. He used to get this illness often and used to be bedridden every two or three years. He was constantly in pain and on medication till 1980 but after the prayer he never saw this illness. This was a great turning point for our family. We began to hear the Gospel messages of Br. Dhinakaran and within three years we all found Jesus and received Him into our lives as our Lord and Savior. Jesus Calls ministry had not only helped us to find Jesus but also helped us to grow in the spiritual field. We are ever grateful to Jesus calls ministry. Our prayers and deepest sympathy is with sis. Dhinakaran, Br. Paul Dhinakaran, sis. Evangeline Dhinakaran and their Children in this time of deep sorrow. May the Lord bring peace which passeth all understanding in their lives and bless them and give them strength to continue in the ministry and the call for which God has called them. Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. (Dan 12:3)Our few memories with Bro. D. G. S. Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 14th July. 2009
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Jul. 2009
Printed Version of the Magazine
