Yesterday, when the space shuttle Atlantis was on space, some unidentified floating objects were spotted around it which were caught in camera. It made NASA to order extra inspections of the spacecraft to make sure whether it was safe for it to come back home. The mysterious floating debris raised their concerns to recheck the spacecraft minutely. They thought that those floating objects could harm the spacecraft's outer layer resulting in the burning of the shuttle. Cameras were watching over it while the crew members were not seeing anything.Likewise there is a God who watches over His children day and night. Bible says in Psa 34:15, "The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry." God said in Psa 101:6, "My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me."Also we read in Psa 91:11-12, "For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone." God cares for His children, those who are washed by His blood. Are you a child of God? Have your sins been forgiven and have been washed by the precious blood of Jesus? If you can say ‘yes’ then you can be sure that He watches over you. He will not allow any harm to come near you nor near your dwelling place. He will protect you from all evil. We ourselves have experienced His great protection several times in our own lives. There were times when enemy could have harmed us greatly and there was no escape route, yet God made ways for us to come out victoriously. There were times when our hearts failed and hopelessness reined and despair took hold of our lives but at those moments of utter darkness, Jesus came for our rescue. He did not allow the enemy to took over our lives. Oh, yes, the everlasting God watches over us. Who can then be able to destroy our lives? Dear friend, God has promised protection for His children. Are you afraid because of your situation today? Had your heart fainted seeing the impossible situation in your life? Look to Jesus, trust in Him. He will deliver you. If you are not a child of God, please pray this prayer with all your heart and expect great things from the Lord.Dear Jesus, I am afraid and feeling so insecure about my future, thinking of so many problems which I am facing. But today, by faith, I give my life into your mighty hands. Please keep me safe. Let enemy never take over my life. Lord Jesus, I ask for your help. Today I confess all my sins and invite you to come into my life and take control of my life. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for giving me eternal life and a secure and bright future. I give you all the glory, I pray in Jesus name, amen.
Great Light that Dispels Darkness
Isa 9:2, "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined."This world is full of darkness and is in the shadow of death. When someone speaks out truth there would be great uproar. Just like it happened last week when Pope Benedict XVI read out from a 14th century Medieval text about the teachings of Islam and about Mohammed. Pope's quoting of the text was widely condemned by Muslims and violence and attacks took place against innocent civilians. Pope clarified as he spoke on Wednesday that, 'his intention had been "to explain that not religion and violence, but religion and reason, go together."' In recent years we have seen violence against innocent civilians by Muslims. They never felt it wrong may be because Quran gives them permission to do so. We read in Al-Anfal Sura 8:60 Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.At-Tauba (The Repentance) Sura 9:14 Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, cover them with shame, help you (to victory) over them, heal the breasts of Believers,One morning on Sep. 11, 2001, America woke up and found a new and strange enemy who wiped away 3000 lives from this planet earth. Last year Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke in Tehran about the wiping off of Israel from the face of the map. He also said that Holocaust was a myth in which 6,000,000 Jews were killed. Its amazing why anybody could have this much hatred for others?More amazing thing is that the world stands with these types of people. When Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez spoke in the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, calling President Bush "the devil" many applauded on his speech. This is the world we are living in. A few weeks back one girl disappeared from highway while her car ran out of gas (petrol). She called her mom on cell phone and said that gas station is nearby so she will walk to the gas station to fill gas. That was the last call she made. About a week later her body was found. You can see how evil this world is. The gas station was just a mile away from her car. It would have taken only 8-10 minutes to walk and in between somebody kidnapped her. Yes, this world is full of darkness and evil. The same evil world could not recognize the creator when He came down and walked in this world. Many a times they tried to kill Jesus. Jesus Himself said in John 7:7 "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil." John bore witness of the true light as we read in John 1:9-13, "That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."Those who rejected this true Light are still living in darkness, but those who have accepted Jesus, those who have received the true Light, have been adopted by God Himself as His sons and daughters.Even today, Jesus is ready to remove the darkness from our lives and fill our lives with great light. If you want to receive Him in your life, please pray this prayer from the bottom of your heart. Lord Jesus, I repent from my sins. I have been living in darkness, in evil and in sin. Please wash me with your precious blood that you have shed on the cross. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and turn my darkness into light. Thank you Jesus for giving me forgiveness of my sins. I give you all the glory. I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 14th July. 2009
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Jul. 2009
